Monday
This was quite the jumbled day with a few people missing and vehicle mishaps. Michelle, worn and weary from completing round 2 of her search and rescue training, used her comp day. Max joined Team Coho to work on their coir fabric levee. Snowflake was having some electrical issues and tied up Kris. Shea traveled with Andy. Sarra and I went with Geoff in Dumpy to get to Pautzke.
On our way, we were merging into Highway 18 from 167 through a weaving lane. Geoff had to pull onto the median to get onto the exit road because a car would not let us in! We later found out that Dumpy's right turn signal had burned out again. As we approached the exit, Dumpy began to lose power. Great. We could not get her restarted, so we called a tow truck to pick her up. Andy arrived to pick us up and wait for the tow truck.

Without a truck, we had to leave our belongings out in the elements. I used my rain jacket to cover my pack. That being said, I got drenched out in the rain. Throughout the day we received updates on Snowflake's status. Fortunately she was fixed up near the end of the day and was able to pick us up. If that had not been the case, Andy would have to make 2 trips to drop off his crew and then pick us up. What a day.
Tuesday
What a great day in comparison! We began our day at the salvage nursery to pick up plants and then we made our way to Pautzke to get them planted. After the days work had been done we took a tour of Pautzke and Auburn Narrows for perspective. The sky erupted into a brilliant orange and red swirl...

We finished up the remaining trees that we had at Pautzke. With a little bit of extra time we picked up Dumpy, Sarra got a jump start on her production report, and we had time to wash Snowflake!
